Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Salem, Virginia is seeking potential sources capable of providing coders with skills and knowledge of ICD-9-CM, CPT-4, HCPCS Level II, with the ability to select diagnostic and procedural codes. Contractor must be able to code outpatient encounters based on the documentation in the Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS), input Data entry into Quadra Med/Decision Support's Coding Compliance Module, the GIU interface for the Veterans Health Information System and Technology Architecture (VISTA) system, will be completed within this contract using incorporated edits contained in the software. This includes Encoder MD and/or Quantum. All Coders will follow-up with providers to obtain missing documentation, clarification of terminology or other documentation, and any other coding or documentation requirements necessary for accurate billing using compliance e-mail. Coders shall be utilized only on an "as needed basses" at each facility, and paid only for time worked. VA shall not pay for coders not being used or on standby. The period of performance is February 01, 2011 (or date of award) through January 31, 2012 with four (4) one (1) year renewal options that can be exercised by the Government. The applicable NAICS Code is 561410 / Document Preparation Services / size standard $7.0Mil. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. Responses to this sources sought notice should include the following: name and address of company; business size (large or small); identify whether or not firm falls into any of the following socioeconomic categories - 8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned; firm's experience in providing local HCHV Services meeting VAMC requirements in a professional setting and any other pertinent information, which demonstrates ability to meet the above requirement.
