Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 7, Network Contracting Activity intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1) - FAR 6.302-2 - Unusual and Compelling Urgency. The award will be made to Care Ambulance, 1150 Panama Street, Montgomery, AL 36107. The requirement is for Ambulance Transport Services for the Central Alabama Veterans HealthCare System, Montgomery/Tuskegee, AL. This action will result in a three month period of performance extension to a Firm-Fixed Price contract, commencing on 01 Jan 2011 through 31 March 2011. The NAICS code for this requirement is 621910 with a size standard of $7.0 million. This Notice of Intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive proposals. There is no solicitation document. No RFP will be available for competitive proposals. Phone calls will not be accepted.
