- The Providence VA Medical Center is seeking a contractor to provide fire alarm programming changes to the system operations, system graphics, and voice annunciation at the Providence VA Medical Center, 830 Chalkstone Ave. Typical responsibilities include all programming required to incorporate newly installed devices, updating graphics to reflect system hardware modifications, modifying and creating system wide voice messages, and performing system hardware analysis to determine physical interface points for new devices. The seed project for this requirement is integrating newly installed fire alarm devices in the MRI Suite, Psych Ward, First Floor Elevator Lobby, Fifth Floor, and Building 4 of the hospital into the new campus wide Notifier alarm system as well as the relocation of some existing devices. The VA is soliciting an IDIQ contract with a base 12/27/2010 - 12/26/2011 and three (3) option years. The NAISC code for this is 561621 and the size standard is $12.5 million. This project is subject to the Service Contract Act. Award will be based on the best value to the Government. Evaluation factors include technical, price and past performance (minimum of 3 references with point of contact, company name and phone number.) The solicitation is a set aside for Small Businesses with a Veteran Preference and will be available on or about December 1, 2010. All relevant solicitation documents may be accessible to view on the date of issue at the following website: http://www.fbo.gov which will include the SOW containing the list of equipment, pricing schedule, requirements and necessary information. Any amendments to the solicitation will be posted solely on this website. It is the responsibility of the offeror to verify the number of amendments issued.
