- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC), Norfolk Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office intends to solicit, via a competitive service disabled veteran owned small business set-aside, a requirement for Patient Safety Services in support of the National Naval Medical Center (NNMC), Bethesda, Maryland. The scope of this contract covers tasks that provide Patient Safety, First Responder, and Patient Assistance services within the grounds, buildings, and hospital at NNMC, Bethesda, MD. Complete details regarding this requirement can be found in the Performance Work Statement which will be in the draft solicitation upon its release. FISC will be conducting a MANDATORY Site Visit for this requirement on Tuesday, 21 December 2010 at the National Naval Medical Center. In order to be eligible to submit a quote for this requirement, vendors MUST attend the Site Visit on the designated day and time. Offerors are expected to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award. Interested parties MUST register by email: a list of personnel attending, which MUST include: first name, last name and middle initial, date of birth, and name of company being represented, to Lauren.Lauver@navy.mil no later than 1:00pm (Philadelphia, PA time) on Tuesday, December 14, 2010. Proper identification is needed at the time of arrival to enter the installation. The Site Visit is tentatively scheduled to last approximately 4 hours. All registered parties MUST arrive at the main gate (8901 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, Maryland- -across from the Metro) by 10:00am at which time they will be escorted to the location of the meeting area. As this is not a solicitation, no attendee should view this as an opportunity to exhibit its qualifications or technical merit that distinguish itself from others in attendance. Questions and conversations that appear to steer in this direction will be discouraged. Participation in the Site Visit is strictly voluntary. Government will not reimburse contractors for any cost incurred for their participation. In addition, any information provided to the Government is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government. All information discussed and/or provided to the Government will be considered. FISC intends to solicit via a competitive service disabled veteran owned small business set-aside. FISC ™s intent is to issue a firm-fixed price contract in accordance with FAR 12 (Commercial Items) and FAR15 (Contracting by Negotiation) procedures. The Period of Performance is April 26, 2011 through April 25, 2012 with four one-year options. The draft solicitation will be made available electronically upon its release to www.neco.navy.mil as an amendment to this synopsis on or around Thursday, December 9, 2010. The applicable NAICS code is 561210 ($32.5M size standard) and the applicable solicitation number is N00189-11-R-Z013.
