- Description
- This is a solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.3, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Proposals are being requested. The solicitation number is CT2043-11. The solicitation is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-46. The North American Industry Classification System (NAIC) code is 313111(yarn spinning mills) and small business size standard is 500. This acquisition is set-aside 100% for small business. UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries, Inc. intends to enter into a firm-fixed price, Requirements type contract for delivery to the UNICOR facility located at FCC Terre Haute, IN 47802. The period of performance shall be one (1) year with two (2) one-year options, if exercised, from date of award. The product is a commercial item, yarn for use in manufacturing various woven cotton textile finished goods. The finished goods are for sale to various federal government agencies including the Bureau of Prisons, GSA and the DLA.
