Description
PR 0028562937. The solicitation will request a firm fixed price for incremental quantities of 2,128 each, 2,660 each, and 3,192 each of NSN 2840-01-311-4796, Nozzle, Turbine used on the F-108 Aircraft Engine. Terms will be FOB destination, Inspection/Acceptance at origin. Government First Article Testing (FAT) is required. Required delivery for FAT samples is 180 days ARO with production units due 180 days after FAT approval. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns. This is an Air Force designated critical safety item with four approved sources: General Electric, CAGE 07482, Artisan Industries, CAGE 04161, Electro-Methods, Inc., CAGE 33617, and Union Machine Company, CAGE 51992. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Alternate offerors must submit a Source Approval Request (SAR) package along with a completed copy of the solicitation in order to be considered for award. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. In order to receive an award, regardless of dollar value, contractors must be registered in Central Contactor Registration (CCR). The final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. The solicitation issue date is on or about December 15, 2010. A copy of the solicitation will be available via DIBBS at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/ on the issue date cited in the RFP.
