- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY FOR REPAIRS TO THE U.S. COAST GUARD MSU AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM - VALDEZ, AK. THIS IS NOT A PRE-SOLICITATION. Solicitations are not available at this time. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the United States Government. The USCG is conducting research prior to release of the solicitation. The proposed work may include but is not limited to the following: 1. Demolition: Demo penthouse heat rejection blower/coil, associated pumps, expansion tank, piping, automatic control damper and electrical. Demo penthouse exhaust duct. Demo penthouse existing blower unit concrete pad. Provide opening in penthouse wall for new louver. Enlarge penthouse exhaust duct roof penetration. Demo portion of basement SF-5 duct. Provide basement ventilation wall penetrations. Demo 2nd floor glycol piping. 2. Install new heat rejection unit, a Government furnished Liebert indoor drycooler, in the penthouse. 3. Install new penthouse drycooler glycol piping and associated pumps, expansion tank, valves, strainers, and piping accessories. 4. Install new penthouse exhaust duct, new exhaust backdraft dampter, supply air hood, new air intake louver and new automatic control dampers. 5. Install Government furnished Liebert Air Conditioning Autochangeover Panel. 6. Install new 2nd floor glycol piping and piping accessories. 7. Extend basement SF-5 duct to AC-2 room. Provide pressure relief. 8. Provide temporary cooling to 2nd floor Vessel Traffic Control center during construction including temporary power to support the temporary cooling. 9. Provide controls for new equipment including DDC controls. 10. Provide power for equipment and controls. The estimated price range for the base year is between $ $250,000 and $500,000.00. The intent of this Sources Sought is to research qualified firms with a primary North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code of 238220, which has a size standard of $14.0 million dollars in annual receipts for the past three years. The requirement for the submission of both performance and payment bonds, in an amount equivalent to 100% of the award price shall be applicable. Therefore, the successful firm shall have the capability to acquire such bonding.Interested contractors shall respond no later than 2:00PM PST on 18 January 2011 by registering on the Interested Vendor List for this procurement. The amount of information available for publication at this time is limited This notice is issued for the purpose of market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10.
