Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. Note: The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, Rhode Island is NOT accepting quotes or proposals via submission through NECO. Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) intends to place on a Sole Source basis, a firm-fixed price purchase order to Alacron Inc., Nashua, NH 03060 for six 6U VME Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) Recorders. Alacron, Inc developed the 6U VME Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) specifically to support the MK54 and MK48 torpedo mission requirements, thus the are the only capable source that possesses the necessary capabilities to provide NUWCDIVNPT with the necessary requirement. This acquisition will be processed using FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. NAICS Code 334119, size standard 1,000 employees. Period of Performance will be from Date of Award through 31 September 2011. The notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All responsible sources may submit a capabilities statement which will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information may be submitted via email (steven.fusco@navy.mil) or mailed to Commercial Acquisition Department, Building 11, Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Code 11912 Attention Steven A. Fusco Jr., Simonpietri Drive, Newport, RI 02841. Further details, including a Government Statement of Work will be released upon issue of RFQ # N66604-11-Q-1190, which is anticipated to be on or about 01/19/2011.
