Description
The Department of Justice, Justice Management Division, Chief Information Office, intends to procure fresh, red dye #2 ultra low sulphur diesel fuel to energize the redundant power generator. Fuel requires no additive; the date of the fuel upon delivery cannot be more than 3 months old from date of being refined; there are 2-20,000 gallon double wall, buried (underground), fiberglass tanks; and fill caps are 8’ apart in our entry driveway with easy access. Fuel to be delivered to the Rockville Data Center, 1151-D Seven Locks Road, Rockville, MD 20854. Delivery shall be required as follows: Option 1: 24,500 gallons on January 12, 2011; and Option 2: 23,000 on or after January 20, 2011; Option 3: some other quantity not to exceed 15,000 gallons for delivery no later than February 15, 2011. This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6, Subpart 13.106 and Subpart 13.5 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. FAR 52.212 3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items, must be completed and included with any and all quotes submitted in response to this synopsis. FAR Clauses 52.212 4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items and 52.212 5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items are hereby incorporated by reference. All referenced FAR clauses may be copied at www.arnet.gov/far. This is a total small business set-aside; the NAICS is 424720 and the business size standard is 100 employees. Interested parties must submit a price quote. Be advised that this synopsis is issued as contingency planning in the event of a loss of power should the current UPS Upgrade fail. Award, if any, will be made to the quote that can provide the required fuel at the required delivery as stated in each Option above. Quoters will be allowed to include the Montgomery County, MD Fuel/Energy Tax for No. 2 Fuel Oil at a rate of.28283 per gallon for this requirement in accordance with the Montgomery County Resolution #16-1354, Schedule B, adopted on May 19, 2010.
