- Industry Day Announcement This invitation is for all vendors interested in submitting a proposal for the upcoming HR Connect Re-compete. The meeting will cover the background of HR Connect, the acquisition strategy, the timeline of solicitation through award, and the HR Connect concept of operations. There will be no handouts provided; the presentation will be posted on the HR Connect website. The intent of this conference is to increase competition and innovative solutions. The main purpose of this conference is to mitigate project risk by removing as much ambiguity as possible and to develop realistic expectations for HR Connect and industry before the release of the Request for Proposal. The primary objectives are to inform industry of current acquisition status, seek industry's feedback on approach, viability and risks as they relate to industry's ability to meet Treasury's HR Information Technology (IT) requirements. This meeting will also encourage industry to gain better insight into current HR Connect capabilities, Treasury customer requirements, and IT management processes and mitigate risks. If your company is interested in attending this presentation on January 20, 2011; the following specifics must be adhered to precisely. Respond to Michelle Knight, Contracting Officer at Michelle.D.Knight@irs.gov by January 17, 2011; at 2pm. In the subject line of your email, you MUST have the words "Reservation for Industry Day". Please do not call to make reservations; they must be in writing through email. Also, only one representative from your company may attend the presentation. In the response email you must include the full name of person attending. We apologize about this but due to the overwhelming response to this procurement there is limited space. If you do not respond by January 17, 2011, you will not have access to the presentation. The location of this presentation is 6009 Oxon Hill Road, Oxon Hill, MD 20745. Please report to the 7th Floor visitor's center by 9am to receive a visitors badge and an escort will direct you to the meeting location.
