- This is a market survey for a Golf Ball Protection Project at the Rocky Mountain Metro Airport (BJC), Broomfield, Colorado, per the attached Summary of Work.The FAA is seeking to identify qualified, experienced, and interested potential businesses capable of performing the type of work described herein. The work includes but is not limited to:a.All site work to establish a new paved parking area and access road;b.Construct a covered vehicle parking structure;c.Construct a 40' high golf ball protection system;d.Install a 10' high golf ball protection netting on existing security fence;e.Construct a smoking shelter (GFE).Responses to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only. This is not a screening information request or request for proposal of any kind. The FAA is not seeking or accepting proposals at this time.The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to this market survey. Therefore any cost associated with this market survey submission is solely at the interested vendor's expense. The information requested by this market survey will be used within the FAA to facilitate decision making and will not be disclosed outside the agency.At this time the nature of the competition has not been determined. The FAA may decide to do a full and open competition or set aside all of the procurement for small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or eligible socially and economically disadvantaged businesses that are certified by the SBA for participation in the SBA's 8(a) with experience relative to NAICS code 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, size standard $33.5 million. All interested parties are invited to respond and must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database (http://www.ccr.gov/) prior to award. The magnitude of project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.The purpose of this market survey is to solicit statements of interest and capabilities from all sources including service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses and 8(a) certified firms capable of performing the work outlined in the attached summary of work at the Rocky Mountain Metro Airport (BJC), Broomfield, Colorado.The market survey is also being conducted to determine whether adequate competition exists to set-aside the project for competition among small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or 8(a) certified firms. In order to make this determination the FAA requires the following from all interested vendors:1.Interested firms are required to complete and submit the attached Business Declaration form and a copy of their SBA 8(a) certification letter, if applicable.2.Capability Statement addressing the type of work provided by your firm relative to the summary of work; Size and type of work provided by previous contracts (elaborate and provide detailed information and past performance).3.In the past five years, the interested firms has satisfactorily performed, in expansive soil conditions, cast-in-drilled hole caisson work, or similar foundation work on at least three projects; caisson depth of 20' or greater.4.Number of Project as a Prime Contractor.5.Percentage of work Subcontracted.6.Type of services provided by your firm, include NAICS Code.7.Number of years in business.8.Any other pertinent information.Interested firms should submit comments in response to this market survey by 4:00 P.M., Pacific Daylight Time, January 26, 2011.Responses may be sent via electronic mail (email) to Clarence.Davis@faa.gov, by the date and time shown above.
