Description

This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sole source announcement only. The Contracting office at Buffalo District intends to award a firm-fixed price contract using simplified acquisition procedures on a sole source basis under Far 6.302-1. The USACE intends to award this requirement to Mohawk Resources LTD. from Amsterdam, NY 12010. Acquisition is being sole sourced to Mohawk, since Mohawk only sells directly to the Government. The other lifts are Mohawk brand at Van Buren Customs & Border Protection Station. Standardizing of mechanic training and maintenance efficiencies will result the government in realization of cost savings. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The anticipated award date is 27 January 2011.
