Description

This pre-solicitation notice is to inform that the VA Medical Center, Bath, New York will be posting a solicitation on or about January 24, 2011 to Renovate Rooms for a Sound Booth, Project No. 528A6-11-605. This project includes all work required to prepare a space for installation of a new sound booth (by others), and architectural and mechanical work required to provide services to the new booth and to finish the area adjacent to the booth. Work includes removal of an existing partition wall separating two existing rooms, removal and infilling of an existing door, and removal of an existing ceiling. A new sink and ramp shall be installed, as well as new HVAC equipment as shown on the drawings. This work requires relocation of (4) sprinkler heads and associated plumbing and mechanical work. Upon completion of demolition, the contractor will suspend work and notify the VA so that Booth installation can be scheduled. Upon completion of the booth installation, the contractor will return to complete the work. This procurement is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. The NAICS code is 236220. The small business standard is $33.5 M. The cost range is $25,000 to $100,000. Information regarding the site visits will be stated in the Solicitation. A 20% Bid Bond must be submitted with any bid over $100,000. Performance and Payment bonds will be required if over $100,000.
