Description

The purpose of this notice is to announce that the Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) San Diego will be issuing a non-competitive solicitation for the Emergency Diesel Generator Engine repair to be performed at the Naval Submarine Base Point Loma in San Diego, California. In accordance with 10 USC 2304 (c)(1), only one or a limited number or responsible sources are available and no other types of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 (b)(ii). The Government intends to place a purchase order with original equipment manufacturer (Fairbanks Morse Engine) located at 1545 Tidelands Ave #J National City, CA 91950 for work to be completed from February 7, 2011 through March 21, 2011. This notice of intent is to satisfy the presolicitation requirement and is not a request for competitive proposals. The purchase order will be firm-fixed price.
