REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) SUMMARY: REQUIREMENT: NETWORK FAX SOLUTIONS THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. This sources sought announcement is published for market research purposes. This market research will be used to help identify business sources in the market that might be able to provide the solution requested, ( all or nothing requirement identified below.) Request that prospective offerors complete and return a Capabilities Statement and line card as described below to determine which vendors possess the capabilities listed below. The Government is in no way obligated to do business with or to enter into any form of contract with any person, firm, or other entity that receives or responds to this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement. BACKGROUND: This will be a firm fixed priced acquisition and the purpose of this effort to acquire required software and/or hardware for implementing a Network Fax Solution for the internal DISA network. In order to consolidate all facsimile services to a minimum footprint, a fax service is required at the desktop level. This will eliminate the need for standalone fax machines on dedicated phone lines. REQUIREMENTS: The product shall work on a Dell Server or the Cisco Unified Communication System (UCS) servers. (N/A if solution is a hardware appliance) The product shall be able to function on either Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008 R2, or Unix Operating systems. (N/A if solution is a hardware appliance) The product shall integrate with a Windows 2003 or 2008 Active Directory architecture. The product must be scalable for worldwide deployment to support approximately 10K users and workstations. The product must be able to direct incoming faxes to users Microsoft Exchange 2003 or 2010 mailbox. The product shall be able to be utilized on workstations with Windows XP or Windows 7 running Microsoft Office 2003, 2007, or 2010. The product must be able to support outbound faxes from user's workstations. The product must be able to save fax addresses to Microsoft Outlook Contacts. The product must be able to comply with any DoD security requirements pertaining to transmission of facsimile. Vendor must supply list of any current DoD customer. The NAICS code that is associated with the requirement is 423430. Business size standard 100 employees. REQUEST FOR CAPABILITES STATEMENT: Interested businesses should provide a capability statement to address their ability to obtain all of the items listed above and submits them to the Contracting Officer. Phase In: RESPONSES TO RFI: Responses must be submitted via email to Kim Oanh Scott, Contract Specialist (e-mail: _ KimOanh.Scott@disa.mil ). No phone calls will be accepted. The deadline for the submission of responses to this RFI is 4:00 p.m. EDT, Wednesday, January 26, 2011. All questions concerning this RFI must be submitted by sending an e-mail to KimOanh.Scott@disa.mil_no later than 4:00 p.m. EST Tuesday, January 18, 2011. Questions received after that date will not be answered, unless the Government determines the answer to the question imparts information material to Industry's ability to respond to this RFI. Government responses to questions will be posted. All responses must not exceed 15 single spaced pages, 12-point type with at least a one-inch margin on an 8-1/2 x 11 inch paper. Marketing Brochures will not be considered adequate information as a response to this RFI. All small businesses to include Small Disadvantaged, HUBZone, Women-Owned and Service Disabled are strongly encouraged to submit their responses. Responses to this RFI should include the organization's full name, Cage Code, DUNN number, headquarters location, and location of an office in the Baltimore-Washington, DC area, if any. They should also include the name of a point-of-contact and his/her e-mail and conventional mailing addresses. Firms are invited to indicate their interests and capabilities by providing the follows: • Brief Capability Statement • Description/Specifications of the products • Warranty • Maintenance Services • Subscription Fees • Brochures • Manuals • Cost • Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) /Government Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC), if applicable • Business Size • Other specific and pertinent information as it pertains to this products. AVAILABILITY: Provide product availability information. Potential for advanced Testing and Evaluation of Product. Give information detailing if the equipment is available off-the-shelf immediately. COST: Provide the estimated cost or cost range of the Network Fax Solution. Any discount. Neither unsolicited proposals nor any other kinds of offers will be considered in response to this RFI or accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Vendors are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked proprietary or confidential will be treated accordingly. Information received in response to this RFI will not be returned. The purpose of this RFI is to gather market research on potential sources that have the capabilities to provide the Network FAX solutions for the Defense Information Systems Agency.
