- UNRESTRICTED PROCUREMENT The project consists of dredging portions of the Norfolk Harbor and Craney Island Reach Federal Navigation Channel and the Norfolk International Terminals. The work in Norfolk Harbor and Craney Island Reach consists of maintenance dredging to required depths of 52 feet MLLW with one foot of allowable overdepth. The dredging involves approximately 625,000 cubic yards of material, including allowable overdepth dredging and estimated accretion to March 2011. The work at Norfolk International Terminals will consist of maintenance dredging to required depths of 32 feet MLLW and 50 feet MLLW with two feet of allowable overdepth at each respective dredging depth. The dredging involves approximately 612,900 cubic yards of material, including allowable overdepth dredging and estimated accretion to March 2011. The work shall be performed by a hydraulic dredge and pipeline with all dredged material transported and placed in the designated Government-furnished placement area at Craney Island. Potential bidders are informed that there will be a large volume of dredging placement by others at Craney Island during this contract and only one cell of the Dredged Material Management Area will be available at a time for use during this contract. Submission requirements (plans/specs) will be available on/about 25 January 2011 via Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps, https://www.fbo.gov). Search on W91236% for solicitations issued by Norfolk District. No hard copies will be available. Prospective contractors must be registered Vendors with https://www.fbo.gov in order to download plans and specifications. Prospective contractors must be registered in the DOD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database in order to obtain access to FedBizOpps. CCR Registration must also be active and current to be eligible for contract award. Information on registration and annual confirmation requirements may be obtained by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http://www.bpn.gov. Lack of registration in the CCR database will prevent access to FedBizOpps and will make an offeror ineligible for award. TELEPHONE OR EMAIL REQUESTS WILL NOT BE HONORED.
