- This is a pre-solicitation notice/synopsis for commercial itemsprepared inaccordance with the format in FAR Subpart 5.204, as supplemented withadditional information included in this notice. A written solicitation willbeissued separate from this announcement. Solicitation DE-RQ65-11WG91305 willbeissued as a Request for Quotation. Solicitation document and incorporatedprovisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal AcquisitionCircular2005-48. A firm fixed price contract will be awarded using SimplifiedAcquisition Procedures. This solicitation is 100% reserved for smallbusiness.The North American Industrial Code (NAICS) is 321213 and the business sizestandard is 500 Employees. The U.S. Department of Energy, Western Area Power Administration, DesertSouthwest Region requires Overhead Ground Wire, 7-wire galvanized-steelstrandconforming to high-strength grade, 1/2 inch diameter, Class B, steel strandinaccordance with ASTM A 363. Referenced FAR clauses in the solicitation are available in full text at:http://farsite.hill.af.mil/VFFARA.HTM. Offeror must be registered in theCentral Contractor Registration (CCR) and Online Representations andCertifications Application (ORCA) databases before an award can be made tothem. If the offeror is not registered in the CCR and/or ORCA, it may do so through the CCR website at: https://www.bpn.gov/ccr/ and the ORCA websiteat:http://orca.bpn.gov. The Government intends to award to the responsiblecontractor whose offer conforms to solicitation requirements and providesbestvalue to the government. All quotes must be valid for 60 days.
