- Description
- The project consists of the construction of a one story, concrete masonry unit building with approximate overall dimensions of 14.40 m x 14.65 m. Contractor shall also construct two storage structures, repair the existing elevated water tank system with leach field, construct CMU block perimeter fence, incinerator, and provide some clinic furnishings. The project includes, site works, reinforced concrete structure, masonry, plaster and paint, metallic roofing, water and sewer installations, and electrical. Place of Performance: Project location is in the Comarca de Cunayala province of Panamas Northeast Coast in the municipality of Carreto. Coordinates for this location are N08o46'55.2" and W77o34'50.1" and it is close to the border with Colombia. Carreto is located in a remote area accessed only by small aircraft and watercraft. Due to the close proximity of this project to the border with Colombia and the location being a high risk area, recommend that all interested sources, both local and U.S. check the U.S. State Department travel advisory website for any travel advisory information for that location. Contract Information: The award will be based on Lowest Priced, Technically Acceptable Offer (LPTA) best value acquisition which will be cited in the solicitation. The period of performance of this contract is based on 180 calendar days from the date of the award. The resulting contract type shall be firm fixed price. The estimated construction cost for this project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000 dollars. Obtaining the solicitation: The solicitation, including drawings and specifications, will be available for download from FedBizOpps - website: http://www.fbo.gov. The solicitation, and the associated documents for this project, will not be issued on CD unless there are technical difficulties that cannot be promptly corrected on the FedBizOpps website. All notifications of changes to this solicitation shall be made through the Internet only. It is the contractor's responsibility to check for any posted changes to the solicitation. The solicitation and any future amendments to the solicitation will be available for download via the FedBizOpps website on or about 26 January 2011.
