Description
SUMMARY OF WORK FURNISH LABOR, MATERIALS, AND SUPERVISION TO REPLACE TWO EXISTING VARIABLE FREQUENCY DRIVES AT THE R.C. WHITE FEDERAL BUILDING, 700 EAST SAN ANTONIO AVE., EL PASO, TEXAS 01. STATEMENT OF WORK A. SCOPE: Provide all labor, material, equipment and supervision necessary to perform all work required for the replacement of two (2) variable frequency drives in accordance with the specifications. B. PURPOSE: (1) The purpose of this project is to replace two (2) existing Variable Frequency Drives, 100 Horsepower each. C. MAJOR ITEMS OF WORK: The project includes but is not limited to the following items: (1) Remove existing panels, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), wiring and hardware as necessary to accommodate the new hardware, wiring and new VFDs. (2) Furnish and install new VFDs. New Variable Frequency Drives are to be for the HVAC units (fans) and are to be 100 HP. Units are to be ABB Inc., ACH550 or equivalent with bypass designed specifically for the HVAC service. (3) Units must have bypass and manual operational capabilities. (4) Installation shall include enclosure cabinets, hardware and all modifications required for installation in existing motor control center. (5) Provide all connections and programming to connect to the existing Building Automation System. (6) Provide and install service disconnects. (7) Provide start-up and operational checks, training and operating manuals. (8) All work must be done after-hours and must not interfere with the operation of the building HVAC system. (9) Contractor must not start any on-site work before the materials, supplies and equipment are received and on site. The Contractor shall submit a written schedule to the COR for approval before any work is to begin on this project. (10) All hardware and equipment must be fully compatible with the existing control equipment system. Use of additional relays and components for integration is not allowed.
