- PROPOSAL DUE DATE IS NOW CHANGED TO 28 JANUARY 2011. AN AMENDMENT SHOWING SPACE MEASUREMENTS AND APPLIANCE QUANTITIES IS FORTHCOMING. THE GOVERNMENT IS PRESENTLY MEASURING DODEA PACIFIC'S SCHOOL SPACES TO DETERMINE THE TYPES AND QUANTITIES OF APPLIANCES AND FURNISHINGS REQUIRED PER SPECIAL EDUCATION CLASSROOM. EXHIBITS SHOWING FLOORPLANS AND LAYOUT WILL BE FORTHCOMING. ADDITIONALLY, ALL APPLIANCES MUST BE 110 VOLTAGE SINCE DODEA SCHOOLS ARE LOCATED INSIDE U.S. MILITARY INSTALLATIONS IN THE PACIFIC. FOR GUAM, WE WILL SOLICIT SMALL BUSINESSES PURSUANT TO FAR 19 TO PROVIDE THE ITEMS TO BE ORDERED UNDER THE RESULTANT BPAs. FOR KOREA, JAPAN AND OKINAWA, WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SOLICIT LOCAL AND U.S. VENDORS TO PROMOTE ADEQUATE COMPETITION. THE RESULTANT BPAs MAY BE USED BY OTHER DODEA CONTRACTING OFFICES TO ORDER THEIR SPED FURNISHINGS AND APPLIANCES. DUE TO THE CHANGES NOTED ABOVE, THE DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT OF PROPOSALS HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO 07 JANUARY 2011. THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE AMENDED SO THAT THE RESULTANT CONTRACT VEHICLE TYPE WILL BE A BLANKET PURCHASE AGREEMENT (BPA) FOR RECURRING HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE AND EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS. THE GOVERNMENT MAY CONSIDER MULTIPLE AWARD OF BPAs IF IT IS DETERMINED TO BE IN ITS BEST INTERESTS. THERE WILL ALSO BE CHANGES TO SECTIONS L AND M OF THE RFP. THE PROPOSAL DUE DATE OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL THUS BE EXTENDED AN ADDITIONAL 45 DAYS. THE AMENDMENT REFLECTING THE ABOVE CHANGES WILL BE FORTHCOMING. AND, WE DO APOLOGIZE TO THOSE WHO QUICKLY RESPONDED TO THE BELOW ANNOUNCEMENT. HOPEFULLY, YOU WILL BE INTERESTED IN THE LONGER TERM REQUIREMENT WE INTEND TO NOW AWARD AGAINST THIS RFP. THANK YOU. The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Pacific Procurement Division intends to award a firm fixed price supply contract for various furniture and appliance items for Special Education facilities in DoDEA schools throughout Korea, Mainland Japan, Okinawa and Guam. If items are coming from the United States, they must be shipped through the DLA Depot in Tracy, California. If the items are to be shipped from a location in Asia, they should go door-to-door to specified addresses. The Government reserves the right to award more than one contract against this solicitation. Price must be determined reasonable before award can be made.
