- 1. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT TO BE USED FOR MARKET ANALYSIS ONLY TO DETERMINE THE AVAILABILITY OF POTENTIAL EQUIVALENT TO THE EATON LEONARD TUBE BENDING MACHINE LIGHTSPEED CNC CONTROL UPGRADE. NO AWARDS WILL BE MADE FROM THIS SOURCES SOUGHT. NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. THEREFORE DO NOT REQUEST A COPY OF A SOLICITATION. ALL RESPONSES WILL BE USED TO DETERMINE THE APPROPRIATE ACQUISITION STRATEGY FOR THE FUTURE ACQUISITION. 2. Ellsworth AFB requires upgrades to its two Eaton Leonard Tube Bending Machines, Model # VB200SE. The required new control, electrical components and wiring shall interface with machinery stated above. This upgrade shall modifiy all major electrical and mechanical control components to be current with the latest revision level of software and hardware compatibility. 3. The following are required specifications: • Open Architecture PC-Based Industrial Control • Flat Panel Display with Industrial Touch Screen • Latest Technology Fiber Optic Servo & I/O Interface • True Hard Realtime Control for All Machine Motions • Windows XP-Pro or Greater Operating System • Menu-Driven Programs • 3D Graphics of the Current Part Shape Configuration • Thousands of Part Shape Storage for Instant Access • Full Compatibility Interface to Vector-1 Tube Data Center • Simplified Programming in XYZ and LRA Format • Feed Rate Override Speed Control • Programming During Bending • Manual Data Input/Edit • Simultaneous Axis Movement • Networking Capability via Windows XP or greater environment • Digital Servo Controllers & Motors (Y & B Axis) • Main Electrical Cabinet Air Conditioner 4. All interested parties are invited to provide the following information about your company/institution, or any teaming or joint venture partners. Interested parties are requested to submit product specifications that shall include: a) Contractor Information • Name • Address • Point of Contact (POC) • POC and product technical expert phone number(s) and email addresses • CAGE Code • Website, if applicable • A description of relevant product equivalency • Contact information of location where product has been installed and is in use. 5. Contractors capable of providing this product should submit product information within the guidelines stated above in paragraph (3) via e-mail to the person(s) stated below in paragraph seven (7). Any information provided by industry to the Government as a result of this sources sought synopsis is strictly voluntary. Responses will not be returned. No entitlements to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges to the Government will arise as a result of contractor submission of responses, or the Government's use of such information. The information obtained from industries responses to this notice may be used in the development of an acquisition strategy and future RFP. 6.
