Description
Vendor shall provide uniforms, uniform accessories, personal gear and boots for personnel such as: Fort Hood Police Officers, Fire Fighters, Game Warden, and Animal Control personnel. The requirement requires the vendor to conduct sizings/fittings and re-fittings of the required uniforms, sewing patches onto uniforms, and embroidering certain garments. Clothing apparel, materials and boots are listed under the Berry Amendment. Berry Amendment applies to DoD procurement when buying covered items. The Berry Amendment requires that clothing materials and apparel must be 'American' made products. This action will be conducted as a commercial supply acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in conjunction with the policies and procedures for solicitation evaluation and award under FAR Part 14, Sealed Bidding. This procurement is 100% set aside for small businesses. The resultant contract will be a Firm Fixed Price, Requirements Type Contract with a base year and two (2) one-year option periods. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 315211 and the Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees. The Government anticipates issuing an Invitation for Bid (IFB), W91151-11-B-0011, on or about 25 January 2011 with a tentative closing date (bid opening) of 25 February 2011. The IFB will be available for downloading at the Army Single Face to Industry website at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi. No paper copies of the solicitation will be mailed and telephone requests will not be honored. In order to be considered for award, bidders must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and bidders' CCR must contain the NAICS code identified above prior to the solicitation closing date. CCR may be accessed via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Descriptive literatures for certain products are required to be submitted with a bid. All responsible, responsive and timely bids will be considered for award.
