Description
The Office of The Judge Advocate General (OTJAG) will conduct the annual leadership summit, KEYSTONE, hosted by Lt Gen Richard Harding (AF/JA) 10-22 Oct 2011 with peak attendance occurring 17-21 Oct 2011 in New Orleans, Louisiana. KEYSTONE is the USAF JAG Corps' annual leadership conference, which brings together JAG Corps leaders from around the world to achieve three primary objectives: a) to discuss and evaluate current and future leadership, organizational, and legal challenges in the Air Force and The Judge Advocate General's Corps (TJAGC); b) to develop initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of legal services in the Air Force; and c) to identify ways to maximize the Corps' readiness to support warfighter requirements. KEYSTONE has been the exclusive conference venue for the JAG Corps for the past six years, replacing multiple conferences previously held by JAG Corps organizations throughout the year. Consolidating these meetings into a single Worldwide Leadership Summit has resulted in numerous efficiencies for the JAG Corps and the larger Air Force. The OTJAG requires lodging, meeting rooms, audio visual and information technology support, and food and beverages in the preparation and coordination of KEYSTONE. Anticipated attendance is approximately 700 people during peak dates. Attendees will be on travel orders. Rooms, light snacks and refreshments and breakfast/lunch will be centrally funded. Rooms will be at government per diem rates. Breakfast/lunch must be provided at the partial per diem rate.
