- SYNOPSIS: PROJECT TITLE: ASBESTOS ABATEMENT FOR DESIGNATED AREA OF BUILDING #262, USCG TRAINING CENTER, CAPE MAY, NEW JERSEY 1. SCOPE: The work covered in this project includes all materials, labor, equipment and services necessary to abate asbestos contaminated insulation from designated area of the overhead of the Administration Building, Building #262, at the United States Coast Guard Training Center, in Cape May, New Jersey. In general the work includes but is not limited to the following: 1. Demolish carpet, suspended ceiling, light fixtures, walls, etc.; 2. Abate asbestos contaminated sprayed on insulation from roof surface, structural members, conduit, piping, etc. in overhead ceiling and clean all surfaces to remain; 3. Monitor air quality throughout entire project; 4. Properly dispose of all asbestos contaminated material; 5. Mobilization, demobilization and clean up; 6. Supervision, materials, equipment, transportation, labor and all other incidentals necessary to complete the work. Estimated Period of Performance shall be 60 days after issuance of Notice to Proceed. This procurement is estimated BETWEEN $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The NAICS code for this procurement is 562910 with a size standard of $14 million. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). All responsible SDVOSB sources may submit an offer that will be considered by the agency. All work shall be performed in accordance with USCG specifications, drawings, provisions, clauses and the terms and conditions which will be provided when all Request for Quote (RFQ) solicitation document files become available for download on or after 1 FEBRUARY 2011 exclusively from the Internet by accessing the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website at: http://www.fbo.gov. If it does not appear on that date, please check back daily. The date set for receipt of offers is approximately 4 MARCH 2011. These dates are estimated and may change. NOTE: NO TELEPHONE, FACSIMILE, E-MAIL AND/OR WRITTEN REQUESTS FOR SOLICITATIONS OR POSTING STATUS SHALL BE ACCEPTED. Our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form.
