Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a Firm-Fixed-Price Delivery Order, under Basic Order Agreement N00019-11-G-0001, to The Boeing Company, 6200 J S McDonnell Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63134 to provide ECP 323, Nose Landing Gear Dowel Pin Kits, for the AV-8B Harrier Aircraft. This is a follow and final NAVICP spares buy of AYC-1477 Kit numbers 1477LKA144510XX depot level installation kits and 1477LKB144511XX NAVICP spare depot level installation kits. ECP 323 Nose Landing Gear Steering Dowel Pins are manufactured from 174CRES material and treated with OEM owned proprietary processes in order that they meet the strength and fatigue requirements called for in the engineering change and qualification test requirements and the OEM's analysis of the root failure mode of the original equipment. Purchase of these pins from any source other than the OEM would require re-qualification and certification and the U.S. Government does not have data rights to the special proprietary process used by the OEM to meet the qualification requirements. Therefore, the U.S. Government could not supply them to any other interested party.
