Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking competent and qualified8(a) Contractors interested in providing offers for the Structural and Plumbing Repairs at the ARTCC, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Work will consist of, but is not limited to the demolition and replacement of portions of the interior slab located in the basement area of the administration wing. The plumbing portion of this project will consist of replacing and repairing portions of floor drains and sanitary components, service sink, valves and p-traps. Construction will take place in a critical air traffic control center, so the contractor shall be required to perform all concrete cutting, jack hammering, new coatings and noisy work during 2000 to 0500 hours. All work shall be accomplished according to the plans and specifications that will be provided. 1.Estimated contract performance time is 120 calendar days2.This procurement is set aside for SEDB 8(a) Firms3.The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 236220 and the small business size standard is $33.5 Million.4.The dollar range for this project is between $50,000 and $200,0005.A mandatory (pre-bid) site visit will be conducted during the week of February 15, 2011, at the Albuquerque ARTCC. Interested prime contractors must attend this site visit in order to qualify for contract award.6.The offeror must have the financial resources to sustain all contract activities, such as, insurance, bonding, mobilization, equipment, labor and material costs.7.The contractor is expected to perform at least 15 % of the work utilizing their own employees.8.The contractor MUST be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) before contract award. Contractors can register on-line at http://www.ccr.gov/. CONTRACTORS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING GO/NO GO CRITERIA IN ORDER TO RECEIVE A SOLICITATION PACKAGE: a.The contractor must have successfully completed three (3) similar projects both in dollar amount and scope, on a Life Safety Critical Facility such as a hospital or a similar FAA facility. b.The contractor must have delivered a quality product in the timeframe established by the contract. The Request for Offer Package is expected to be available the first week of February 2011. Contractors must submit their request for this package no later than 3:00 pm (CDT) by January 24, 2011. Contractors must provide their company name, physical mailing address, telephone number and FAX number and complete and submit the three (3) attached documents: 1.
