- Description
- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ONLY. This is not a request for offers or proposals. There are no documents to download. Information received will be used to determine the availability of technically capable and otherwise responsible firms that would be interested in submitting offers for this anticipated solicitation. The General Services Administration, Region 8, Design and Construction, is conducting a market survey and seeking sources for construction of a new multi-purpose artificial turf sports field surface of approximately 85,400 square feet. The surface shall have 2 inch fiber length with all seams to be glued. The synthetic turf base shall be comprised of silica gravel (or like material) and dust free rubber granules. A unit emblem shall be permanently installed in the middle of the field with yellow and red turf. Field lines for regulation soccer field and foot ball field to include lines and hash marks. The two different sets of lines should be in different colors to clearly distinguish all boundaries and markings for that respective sport. The contractor shall provide two FIFA regulation soccer goals. The contractor shall ensure appropriate drainage to provide for the proper drainage of the field surface. Appropriate grooming tools for field maintenance and removal of foreign object shall be provided by the contractor. As an option of the government, the contractor shall provide a three lane oval running track encompassing turf field that measures one-quarter mile. Track materials must be polyutherane/rubber mix and at a minimum of thirteen (13) millimeters thick and impermeable to water and debris. The contractor shall provide a minimum of a five (5) year warranty. This will include restriping lines on all surfaces after the fourth (4th) year and covers all work to include drainage system, synthetic threads, and track (if option is exercised). The estimated cost of construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Type of contract anticipated is Firm Fixed Price. Companies who have the necessary experience, as well as an interest in this project, should submit a Letter of Interest containing bonding capacity and a statement of capabilities, which IS NOT A PROPOSAL, but rather a short statement regarding the firm's expertise and experience on projects similar in scope to the one described in this notice. Include in your response the name of your business, business size and classification (large, small, 8(a) SDVOSB, etc.), point of contact, and telephone number. Interested firms should submit the written Letter of Interest by email to Tracy Troncosa-Maes, Contracting Officer, at Tracy.Troncosa-Maes@gsa.gov.
