Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make a single award to a qualified small business for the provision of a Medical Document File Clerk for the inmate population located at the Federal Correctional Complex (FCC) located in Terre Haute, IN. The successful Contractor shall perform a variety of duties that include, but are not limited to: perform filing of various medical reports, laboratory studies, x-rays, etc. in medical records of inmates on a daily basis, pull inmate medical files for sick call and call outs daily as listed on call out sheet, pull inmate medical files for physicians, clinical staff, and consultants daily, file inmate medical records and documentation in medical and dental records, copy information from inmate files as listed on waiting list, review medical files for inappropriate filing, copying various records necessary for Freedom of Information Act compliance, administrative tort claim investigations, and litigate use, tracking and maintaining litigation files, organization and accountability for medical records, assist in internal and external audits, participate in the IOP Program, follows a number of specific procedures in completing several repetitive clerical steps performed in a prescribed or slightly varied sequence, such as filing documents and operating office equipment (e.g. computer, fax machine, scanner, photocopier, telephone). This position requires some familiarity with the terminology and operation of a legal and medical office in order to complete assignments with minimal supervision. Contractor must have a high school diploma or equivalent. No prior employment terminations in the past five (5) years. Contractor should have a minimum experience of two years working in a medical office, utilizing medical terminology, alphabetical and numerical filing, use of a personal computer to perform word processing, and tracking of information with basic typing skills. Medical credentials/certification helpful but not required to perform the job A copy of the credentials/resume must be submitted with the quotation package. The Contractor shall be required to perform an estimated 30, (1) one hour sessions per week Monday through Friday, totaling approximately 1440 (1) one hour sessions a year. The award will be made to the responsible Contractor who submits the most advantageous quote to the Government based on price and price-related factors only. The Contracting Officer anticipates awarding an indefinite-delivery requirements type contract, with firm fixed unit pricing. The contract period shall consist of a 12-month base year with four (4) possible option years for renewal. The solicitation will be available on or about January 25, 2011 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information concerning the acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through the website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about the acquisition. All Contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about February 25, 2011. The solicitation is set aside 100% for small business. The North American Industry Classification System code for this solicitation is 621399 with a size standard of $7.0 million. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. All responsible small businesses may submit a quote.
