- It is the intent of the Syracuse VA Medical Center, 800 Irving Avenue, Syracuse, NY, 13210, to issue a SDVOSB (Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business) Set-aside RFP (Request for Proposals) for work within existing space in the Syracuse VA Medical Center 7 East Wing and includes demolition of the majority of existing walls, electric, lighting, ceiling, floor tile, asbestos mastic/ pipe insulation abatement, mechanical equipment, ductwork, and plumbing for the current area, followed by renovations for a new office suite of approximately 8,400 sf, which will produce numerous generic offices and administrated support areas, a multi-media conference room, and restrooms. This project requires basic office administrative utilities including new HVAC, Controls, Electrical, Plumbing, and Sprinkler systems serving, all necessary cabling and equipment for voice, data and alarm lines, inclusive of all new interior finishes. This SDVOSB set-aside is Project # 528A7-10-701. The estimated construction range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The Syracuse VA Medical Center will be issuing RFP VA-528-11-RP-0081 in accordance with FAR Part 15, whereby technical capabilities and past performance are approximately equal as to price. NAICS Code 236220 is applicable, and the size standard is $33.5 mil. Solicitation documents will be available on or about February 11th, 2011, at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. NO HARD COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED. Information regarding an organized site visit and pre-proposal conference will be listed in the solicitation documents. Prospective offerors are encouraged to attend the organized site visit to familiarize themselves with the project, project site, and conditions which may affect your cost proposal. No other organized visits will be conducted. Solicitation #VA 528-11-RP-0081 has been assigned and shall be referenced on all correspondence regarding this announcement and solicitation. Interested firms are reminded that in accordance with FAR part 4.11, prospect contractors are required to have an active registration in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and FAR Part 4.12 prospective contractors must complete electronic on-line annual representations and certifications (ORCA) databases prior to award of a contract. Both can be accessed at the Business Partner Network (BPN) website at http://www.bpn.gov/.
