- Note: All responses to this IFB shall be mailed to Western AreaPowerAdministration, P.O. Box 6457, Phoenix, AZ 85005-6457. Physical addressforhand carried bids: Western Area Power Administration, 615 S. 43rd Ave,Phoenix, AZ 85009. This is a Small Business Set Aside Invitation for Bid (IFB). Theacquisitionis subject to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS)code of237130 with a size standard of $33.5 million. This project consist offurnishing all necessary labor, supervision, materials, licenses, permits,insurance, transportation, and equipment necessary in the constructionproject. The principal components of the work include furnishing andinstalling optic ground wire peaks on existing lattice steel structures39.7miles of OPGW complete with splice boxes and associated fiber optic work attwosubstations. The work also includes furnishing and installing one steelgroundmast structure. The work also includes removal of approximately 342.2 feetof1/2 inch overhead ground wire (OGW). All work shall be in strictcompliancewith the specifications and drawings. A firm-fixed price contract award iscontemplated. The project magnitude is estimated between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Place of performance is Colusa and Sutter Counties,California. It is anticipated that the solicitation package, to includespecifications and drawings, will be available electronically at no chargeonor about February 7th, 2011. No phone calls will be accepted.
