- FOR MORE INFORMATION PLEASE CONTACT John Armata AT 732-532-8171, EMAIL John.F.Armata@us.army.mil The US ARMY CECOM LCMC is requesting a ROM for: Meteorological measuring station to provide accurate and timely meteorological data to both artillery and Multi Rocket Launcher Systems (MRLS) units. The system should be a mobile upper air meteorological data acquisition, automated data processing and dissemination system that will provide the necessary meteorological data to the said units with maximum mission capability and effectiveness. The station should have, but not limited, to the following specifications: 1.Technical Specification: Vertical tracking altitude up to 30 Km. Provides measurement of the following parameters with the specified accuracy. Variable___________Range_________________Accuracy requirement Pressure____________10 hPa-1060hPa________ 1.5hPA Temperature (C )__-80 to +60 ___________0.5 Humidity____________0-100%_________________5% Wind direction______0-6400 mils___________10 mils Wind speed__________0-100m/s______________1 m/s User friendly Operating system and applications, with the option to have Arabic User interface Print out of messages, graphics and data with the required peripherals for that (Printers, Punched Ribbon...etc). Provide artillery meteorological messages compatible with International Standard Agreements STANAG 4061 and 4082...etc. Continuous operation up to 10 hours. Power supply system: The system should have the capability to be operated either from vehicle power or an external power source; a power generator should be provided with the system. Capability to disseminate Met messages through tactical communication networks. 2.Tactical specification a.The complete system should be built as a self-contained land-mobile unit. b.Operate in any type of climatic condition and over any type of terrain where tactical operations require employment of FA. c.Lightweight system with High mobility. d.Easy to hide and camouflage. e.Requires a few crew members to run it. f.Requires minimal Set up and take down time.
