Description
1.2 GENERAL DESCRIPTION. The free standing jib crane shall be mounted on an existing structural frame, controlled by plug-in pendant control stations and radio controller, and designed to operate in an outdoor environment on 220 VAC, 3-phase, 60-Hertz power. The mechanical machinery and electrical equipment on the jib crane shall all be specifically intended for use in an outdoor marine type environment. The jib crane shall be designed for an ambient temperature range of 0 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit. The existing structural frame is part of an Antenna Cycle Test Stand (Test Stand) located outside Building 1000. The jib crane shall include a motorized rotate drive and shall be equipped with an electric hoist/trolley unit conforming to ASME HST-4, Class H3. The jib crane shall be designed in accordance with the following requirements: MAXIMUM DEAD LOAD (Crane and Plate) 10,300 pounds CAPACITY (tons): 3 SPAN (ft-in): 20 0 (distance from center of rotation to end of boom) MAXIMUM OPERATING RADIUS (ft-in): 17 7 (minimum) ROTATE RANGE (degrees): 180 HEIGHT OF UNDERSIDE OF CRANE BOOM ABOVE TEST STAND JIB CRANE MOUNTING SURFACE: 30 0 (minimum) HOIST/TROLLEY UNIT HEADROOM DIMENSION: 2 1 (maximum) VERTICAL HOOK TRAVEL (ft-in): 82 -0 (minimum) 1.3 WORK INCLUDED. The jib crane contractor shall provide the equipment, services, and documents specified herein. 1.3.1 EQUIPMENT. Equipment provided by the jib crane contractor shall include, but not be limited to, the following: 1. Materials, tools, and equipment necessary to fabricate, deliver, assemble, install, and field test the complete jib crane. 2. Material, tools, and equipment necessary to install the conductors and conduit running between the facility main disconnect switch and the jib crane. 3. Material, tools, and equipment necessary to install the conductors and conduit running between the two plug-in pendant control station jacks and the jib crane. 4. Material, tools, and equipment necessary to dispose of an existing 3-ton capacity jib crane (1000-J1) currently mounted on the Test Stand frame. The existing jib crane is both bolted and welded to the Test Stand frame. 5. Materials, tools, and equipment necessary to make the necessary structural modifications to the existing Test Stand frame to accommodate installation of the new jib crane. 1.3.2 SERVICES. Services provided by the jib crane contractor shall include, but not be limited to, the following: 1. Labor necessary to make the structural modifications on the existing structural frame to accommodate instllation of the new JIB crane. 2. Labor necessary to remove and dispose of an existing 3-ton capacity jib crane (1000-J1) located on the existing Test Stand frame. 3. Labor, necessary to design, fabricate, deliver, assemble, install, and field test the complete jib crane. 4. Labor to perform the testing and inspection as required by the specification. 5. Labor necessary to design and install conductors and conduit running between the facility disconnect switch and the jib crane and between the plug-in pendant control station jacks and the jib crane. 1.3.3 TECHNICAL DOCUMENTS. Technical documentation provided by the jib crane contractor shall include, but not be limited to, the following (See Section 8): 1. Certifications 2. Drawings 3. Design Calculations 4. Operating and Maintenance Manual 5. Catalog Literature
