- NASA KSC is soliciting information from industry regarding a planned upcomingcompetitive acquisition entitled Safety and Mission Assurance Support Services II(S-MASS II), which is a follow-on to the existing KSC SMASS contract. This plannedacquisition is in support of the KSC Safety and Mission Assurance (SMA) Directorate. Therequirements include providingassurance, engineering, and risk assessment in thedisciplines of safety, reliability, and quality within KSC and at all KSC responsiblesites.The objective of this RFI is also to seek capabilities from all categories of smallbusinesses for the purposes of determining the appropriate level of competition and/orsmall business subcontracting goals for this requirement, and increase procurementefficiency by improving NASA/KSCs knowledge of industry's capabilities. The NAICS Code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 541330 Engineering Services, Military and Aerospace Equipment and Military Weapons/ $27.0Mrespectively. The offeror shall state in their offer their size status for thisprocurement.Potential offerors are requested to submit information in the form of a briefCapabilities and Qualifications Statement that includes: (1) Addressing all of the areasidentified above and (2) a summary of relevant past experience. Capabilities Statementsshall not exceed 5 pages. Responses must include the following: name and address offirm, size of business (large, small, veteran-owned, etc) ; average annual revenue forpast 3 years and number of employees; ownership; number of years in business; affiliateinformation: parent company, joint venture partners, potential teaming partners, primecontractor (if potential sub) or subcontractors (if potential prime); list of customerscovering the past five years (highlight relevant Safety and Mission Assurance workperformed, contract numbers, contract type, dollar value of each procurement; and pointof contact - address and phone number).Interested firms are requested to submit their capability statements electronically toErik C.
