Description
The following amendments and clarifications hereby apply to combined synopsis and solicitation Q4340110505: 1. As stated in the RFQ, contractor will be responsible for including any and all costs in their quote necessary for completing the display in accordance with law, including but not limited to costs related to obtaining any necessary local, state, and federal permits and the cost of the barge needed for the display. The Government will provide reasonable assistance to contractor to expedite, as necessary, any permit requests. 2. Contractor will coordinate with designated National Park Service contracts during the performance of the display to generally coordinate the fireworks with National Park Service provided music. For instance, the display should generally begin when the music begins and end when the music is complete. However, the fireworks need not be specifically coordinated with the music, ie. the use of Pyroditigal techniques during the show is not contemplated. 3. The National Park Service is relying on the expertise of contractors to provide an commercially reasonable fireworks display over the allotted time period, at the lowest possible cost, as price is a significant evaluation factor. No number of shells, or shells of certain intensity, are explicitly required. 4. The Government requires that all fireworks be staged and ignited from a barge located at a specific site in the Patapsco River east of the Park. Contractor will arrange for an adequate barge, movement of such a barge to and from site and cleanup of same after the program. No land based fireworks are contemplated. 5. The designated Contract Specialist, Jason Pratt, may be contacted at the contact information included in the RFQ for a general overhead graphic of the location and the contemplated display. 6. The due date for quotes is hereby extended to February 2, 2011. Quotes should be received by 12 Noon on the aforementioned date. 7. Except as explicitly set forth above, all other terms in the previously posted RFQ hereby remain unchanged.
