- PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Contractor shall furnish all labor, transportation, supervision, supplies and other incidentals necessary to provide biological survey services on Cherokee National Forest lands. Contractor shall conduct field surveys for Threatened, Endangered and Sensitive (TES) vascular plants, bryophytes, lichens, terrestrial mollusks, amphibians, bats, and rare habitats within designated project areas. Species of viability concern (VC) will be noted if encountered during the surveys. An Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract will result from this solicitation. All identified quantities of units of work listed in the Schedule of Items are ESTIMATED and are not guaranteed to be available. Following completion of field work, contractor shall prepare and submit a written report for each area surveyed broken out by taxa group. The Government guarantees that, over the course of the contract term (12 months), unit priced work totaling $20,000 will be offered to the contractor via Task Order(s). Task orders will detail the location of the work, quantity and type of work, and time for performance. Performance period will be 1 year from date of award. ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE: between $25,000 and $150,000. PROJECT LOCATION: All sites will be within the administrative boundaries of the Cherokee National Forest, including lands located in Polk, McMinn, Monroe, Cocke, Greene, Washington, Sullivan, Unicoi, Johnson, and Carter counties, Tennessee. SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS: Solicitation AG-4756-S-11-0010 and related documents will be issued via FedBizOpps as a Request for Quotation and will be available for downloading on or about February 8, 2011 at the website address: http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. A pre-bid teleconference date will be included in the solicitation in Section L.
