Description
The project includes, but is not limited to - Demolish and removal of the existing Localizer antenna array, including steel support platform and foundation/pier.Construction of new instrument landing system localizer antenna array facility for runway 35R. Installation of Government Furnished Equipment/Materials including LOC antenna array system, mounting of all antenna elements and conduit/cable raceway/distribution unit. Install/improve associated aggregate plots/parking areas (new antenna array and existing shelter), and access roads including required fill, regarding and drainage. Concrete foundation as indicated on drawings. Electric power and control services including test and terminations. Underground ducts (with concrete encasement where required), and hand holes for electrical power and control/monitor cables to new LOC antenna. Grounding and lightning protection installation and improvements. Survey, layout and installation of new LOC antenna ground check points. Restoration of affected areas by backfilling/compaction and reseeding to match surrounding area. This paragraph is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises. The Department of Transportation(DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and control by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire capital and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime and sub-contractor at any tier. The DOT bonding assistance program enable firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on bond amount to surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT short term receivable financing. The maximum line of credit of $750,000.
