Description

This is a notice of intent to award a sole source procurement action and is not a request for proposals. The National Cemetery Administration, Philadelphia, PA, intends to modify an existing contract (VA786-P-0971) for Grounds Maintenance Services currently performed by Native Contractors, Inc. (CAGE 1JHE3) to add the following Landscaping Services at its Beverly National Cemetery location (916 Bridgeboro Road, Beverly, NJ 08010) for all supervision, labor, equipment, tools, and materials necessary to provide trimming, edging and debris / trash removal services. This determination is being made under FAR 6.302-1, as only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy this requirement, because of the need to closely coordinate trimming, edging, and debris removal services with regularly scheduled grounds maintenance activities. It is also anticipated that there will be some cost savings to the government by removing duplications of managerial and labor efforts. Firms who wish to challenge this sole source determination must submit an interest letter that demonstrates your ability to provide the requested services as described at an economical price by the close of business February 2, 2011. All responses received will be evaluated, and a determination by the government to compete, or not compete, the proposed procurement action is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. It is emphasized that all information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement and will not be construed as a formal proposal. The government will not reimburse any costs connected with providing the requested capability information.
