- Combined Synopsis/Solicitation: HEAVY EQUIPMENT RENTAL This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). RFQ # M67399-11-Q-0014 The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-36. This is a restricted purchase set-aside for 100% Small Business Concerns. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 532412. The Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) for this order is 7353. The small business size standard is $7.0 MIL. The Federal Supply Classification (FSC) for this order is 3895/W038. This solicitation is for the Excavator, Rock Dump and Front End Loader Rental. The requirement is listed as follows: Line Item 0001, Quantity: 1 Product Description: EXCAVATOR Specifications: 330C CATERPILLAR OR EQUAL WITH BLAST SHIELD LEVEL 4 OR GREATER. ENCLOSED CAB, AIR CONDITON MUST WORK, AND THUMB. TIRES MUST HAVE 20/32 INCH TREAD WEAR MEASURED THE CENTER OF TIRE OR 50% TREAD WEAR OR BETTER DUE TO ROUGH TERRAIN. The first drop off point with escort will be on 2 MAY 2011. Then it will be picked up on 6 May 2011 with escort thru Amboy Road to drop off point at AHNTECH compound, for the second week at BULLION TRAINING AREA. On 13 MAY 2011 the excavator will be picked up at AHNTECH compound for final pick up. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: 02 MAY 2011 to 13 MAY 2011. DATES MIGHT CHANGE DUE TO PRIORITY OF REQUIREMENTS AT RTAMS. EXCAVATOR MUST HAVE ESCORT TO ALL SITES FOR DELIVERIES AND PICK UP. Line Item 0002, Quantity: 3 Product Description: ROCK DUMP Specifications: VOLVO, JOHN DEER, CAT OR EQUAL (35 to 40 TON) ARTICULATED ROCK DUMP WITH AIR CONDITION AND HEAT. TIRES MUST HAVE 20/32 INCH TREAD WEAR MEASURED ON THE CENTER OF TIRE OR BETTER TREAD WEAR. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: 02 MAY 2011 TO 31 MAY 2011 Line Item 0003, Quantity: 2 Product Description: FRONT END LOADER Specifications: 966 G CATERPILLAR FRONT LOADER OR EQUAL WITH AIR CONDITION AND HEAT. 5 YARD, 4 AND 1 COMBO BUCKET. TIRES MUST HAVE 20/32 INCH TREAD WEAR MEASURED ON THE CENTER OF THE TIRE OR 50% TREAD WEAR OR BETTER. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: 02 MAY 2011 TO 31 MAY 2011 Line Item 0004, Quantity: 1 Product Description: DELIVERY CHARGE Specifications: ROUND TRIP DELIVERY CHARGE TO INCLUDE MOVING THE EXCAVATOR FROM DIFFERENT LOCATIONS. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE:02 MAY 2011 TO 13 MAY 2011(EXCAVATOR) 02 MAY 2011 TO 31 MAY 2011 ALL EQUIPMENT MUST HAVE 20/32 INCH TREAD WEAR MEASURE ON THE CENTER OF TIRE OR 50% TREAD WEAR OF BETTER DUE TO ROUGH TERRAIN. BOTH PARTIES MUST BE PRESENT FOR TURN OVER OF EQUIPMENT. The Government reserves the right to deem equal items unacceptable if specifications are not meet. Place of contract delivery will be at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center (MCAGCC)/Marine Corps Air Ground Task Force Training Command (MCAGTFTC), Twenty-nine Palms, CA 92278. The winner of this award is required to be registered with, understand, and invoice through Wide Area Workflow.
