- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), NY Eastern Logistics Service Area -NY ELSA -Contracts Office has a requirement to provide Janitorial Services at the Roanoke Air Traffic Control Tower and Base Building at the Roanoke Regional Airport located in Roanoke, VA. Mandatory Site Visit-February 16, 2011 @ 10:00 a.m. Period of performance -April 1, 2011 - September 30, 2011with four (4) one-year option periods 100 % Set Aside -Small Disadvantaged Business NAICS Code -561720Estimated price range for the initial base year plus four (4) one year options is between $350k to $400K. Offers will be accepted from only those qualified offerors that have attended the mandatory pre-proposal site-visit conference and have on office that is located within hundred (100) mile radius of the Roanoke International Airport located in Roanoke VA and that for a least the last year has been constantly staffed and engaged in day-to-day business. The mandatory pre-proposal site-visit conference is scheduled for February 16, 2011 @ 10:00 a.m. Only those offerors who receive the SIR will be permitted at the pre-proposal site-visit walk-thru conference. The pre-proposal site-visit conference will assure offerors a full understanding of the FAA's requirements. Please notify Ms. Kindal Fitzgerald @ e-mail KindalFitzgerald@faa.gov Tel 540-265-2290 officer forty-eight hours (48) prior to arrange for attendance at this mandatory site visit conference. Security issues preclude the need for the FAA to be informed prior to contractor's arrival for badge and escorting requirements. Additionally, companies must have at least five (5) years experience in providing janitorial services. The companies must be registered on the Central Contractor Registration website ccr.gov at that the offer is made. This Screening Information Request (SIR) will be issued on January 27, 2011 on the faaco.gov web site. Closing date for receipt of proposals is 4:00 p.m. March 1, 2011. Southwest Virginia Janitor has been identified as a Small Disadvantaged Business Concern capable of satisfying this requirement and will be provided a copy of the SIR. Evaluation of proposals to this SIR will rely heavily on Financial Capability, Insurance Eligibility and Past Performance. The Government is seeking offers that provide the best combination of quality and price in order to select the lowest priced technically acceptable offeror. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
