Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is N40442-11-T-7298, and it is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-48, effective 30 DEC 2010. NAICS code 811310 applies. Military Sealift Fleet Support Command (MSFSC), Norfolk, VA intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order for a qualified and approved Tencarva Machinery Co. for the following services onboard USNS ZEUS: The requested period of performance for the below service is 22 February - 8 March 2011. 1.0 ABSTRACT 1.1 This item describes the requirement to overhaul ship's No1 low pressure air compressor (LPAC). 2.0 REFERENCES: 2.1 Tech manuals available on board 3.0 ITEM LOCATION/DESCRIPTION 3.1 Location/Quantity: One air compressor, in no. 1 engine room 3.2 Description: MFG: ATLAS COPCO AIRPOWER MODEL: ZR245-125 SERIAL: ARP18368 4.0 GOVERNMENT FURNISHED EQUIPMENT/MATERIAL/SERVICES/INFORMATION: None 5.0 NOTES: None 6.0 QUALITY ASSURANCE REQUIREMENTS: None additional 7.0 STATEMENT OF WORK REQUIRED: 7.1 Arrangements/Outfitting: None 7.2 Structural: None 7.3 Mechanical/Fluid: 7.3.1 Detach from each unit, motor and compressor. 7.3.2 Transfer to shop. 7.3.3 Open, inspect, and clean all components. Renew the following parts: Provide MSCREP with as found condition report denoting all further repairs and parts required to return units to design service condition. 7.3.4 Flush all liquids and renew all filters. 7.3.5 After all repairs, reassemble and reinstall. Ensure all alignments are to manufacturer's specifications. 7.4 Electrical: None 7.5 Electronics: None 7.6 Preparation of Drawings: None 7.7 Inspection/Test 7.7.1 Test reassembled unit under full load for 24 hours, each. 7.8 Markings: None A.
