- This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website located at http://www.fbo.gov, the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/, and the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition website located at http://www.navsea.navy.mil/nswc/crane/working/contracting. FBO is the primary point of entry to be used when access to synopses and solicitations from the World Wide Web is required. However, the NECO webpage as well as the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition webpage serve as alternatives if the FBO website is unavailable. The Government has a requirement for a Custom Designed, Ruggedized, MIL-STD-901D Grade B, Class 2, Type A Heavy Duty Enclosure, a component of the Shipboard Protection System (SPS). It is anticipated that a Firm Fixed Price Contract with Options will be let for the following: CLIN-0001- 6 Each Custom Designed Cabinet Assembly / Electronic Enclosure, a component of the Block 3 Release 2 Shipboard Protection System (SPS). CLIN-0002- 12 Each FY 12 Option, same as CLIN 0001. CLIN-0003- 16 Each FY 13 Option, same as CLIN 0001. CLIN-0004 -20 Each FY 14 Option, same as CLIN 0001. CLIN-0005 -28 Each-FY 15 Option, same as CLIN 0001. CLIN-0006 - Data (Not Separately Priced) CLIN 0001-6 Each requires delivery 70 days after date of contract award. Delivery required F.O.B. Destination: NSWC-Crane, 300 Highway 361, Crane IN 47522-5001. DPAS rating is DO-A7. Interested parties contact the POC below. CLIN 0002 through 0005 (options) require delivery 70 days from date of option exercise. CLIN 0006 delivery will be as required by the CDRLS. This Cabinet Assembly/Electronic Enclosure is an integral part of the SPS Command and Control System. The cabinet assemblies house the electronic components that command the SPS system. This acquisition is in support of SPS. These Enclosures are anticipated to be procured utilizing FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation with a 100% Set-Aside for Small Business. The Government intends to award to the responsible contractor whose offer is the best value to the Government considering price (most important) and past performance. All responsible sources may submit an offer. Contractors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration database. The Solicitation will be available on or about 15 FEB 2011. All changes to the requirement that occur prior to the closing date will be posted to Crane web site, FedBizOpps and NECO. It is the responsibility of interested vendors to monitor the web sites for amendments that may be issued to this solicitation. For changes made after the closing date, only those offerors that provide a proposal will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed . Interested sources must download from the www site. Reference the above solicitation number when responding to this notice.
