Description

The Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville, Kentucky is seeking CVE verified (as indicated in the VetBiz Registry www.vip.vetbiz.gov) Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business & Veteran Owned Small Business concerns to design the new construction of approximately 15,000 GSF for the Substance Abuse Residential Program and Substance Abuse Outpatient Clinic. Any firm desiring consideration for this project must be approved under the Architectural Services NAICS code 541310, and have the capability of preparing complete drawings in AUTOCAD 2010 format or newer, specifications, construction cost estimates per the VA standards and guidelines. The Prime contractor (AE firm) shall be licensed/registered Architects; in addition, the following specialty disciplines shall also be licensed or registered: geotechnical, structural, civil, electrical, mechanical, fire protection, environmental and interior design. Interested firms desiring consideration shalls submit 3 copies of their proposed team's SF 330's to: Robley Rex VA Medical Center, 800 Zorn Avenue, attn: Roxie Ann Keese, Louisville Kentucky 40206-1433 via United States Postal Service. Electronic submissions will not be considered. Deadline to submit a response to this notice is Thursday March 3, 2011 at 2:00pm (Eastern Standard Time). All offerors are encouraged to submit a thorough and complete package which adequately details the professional qualifications, as well as any specialized experience related to the this project scope and magnitude. Eligible offerors SF330 will be reviewed and ranked by an evaluation board in accordance with the following criteria: 1) Professional qualifications necessary for satisfactory performance of the required services; 2) Specialized experience and technical competence in the type of work required; 3) Capacity to accomplish the work in the Period of Performance specified; 4) Location in the general geographical area of the project and knowledge of the locality of the project 5) Acceptability under other appropriate evaluation criteria Discussions will be held with the three (3) most highly qualified firms firms regarding their design concepts and the relative utility of alternative methods for furnishing the requirement. The final selection will be a listing in order of precedence, of those firms considered most highly qualified. NAICS code 541310 is applicable to this solicitation. The size standard is $4.5M. The Period of Performance is 150 Calendar Days from receipt of Notice To Proceed.
