- This is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation for Commercial Items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is EA133W-11-RQ-0269. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-49, effective January 24, 2011. This procurement is FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 325120; the Federal Supply Class (FSC) is 6830. The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA, National Weather Service, Caribou, ME requires the following items: Base Year Line Item 0001: Provide helium, technical, in accordance with Federal Specification BB-H-1168B, Grade B, 97.5% helium, in contractor-owned cylinders. Cylinder size to range from 200 - 230 cubic feet; Facility storage capacity allows for the storage of only 13 cylinders at a time. Weekly delivery of helium is required. Quantity: 71,000 cubic feet Line Item 0002: Cylinder Rental, Estimated Cylinders: 13 each per month; Quantity: 156 each Option Year One Line item 0003: Provide helium, technical, in accordance with Federal Specification BB-H-1168B, Grade B, 97.5% helium, in contractor-owned cylinders. Cylinder size to range from 200 - 230 cubic feet; Facility storage capacity allows for the storage of only 13 cylinders at a time. Weekly delivery of helium is required. Quantity: 71,000 cubic feet Line item 0004: Cylinder Rental, Estimated Cylinders: 13 each per month; Quantity: 156 each Option Year Two Line item 0005: Provide helium, technical, in accordance with Federal Specification BB-H-1168B, Grade B, 97.5% helium, in contractor-owned cylinders. Cylinder size to range from 200 - 230 cubic feet; Facility storage capacity allows for the storage of only 13 cylinders at a time. Weekly delivery of helium is required. Quantity: 71,000 cubic feet Line item 0006: Cylinder Rental, Estimated Cylinders: 13 each per month; Quantity: 156 each The period of performance is: March 1, 2011 through February 29, 2012 and shall include two (2) twelve month option periods. All quotes shall be FOB Destination to: NOAA/National Weather Service Forecast Office, 810 Main Street, Caribou, ME 04736-4452. The government intends to award a firm-fixed price purchase order for this requirement utilizing simplified acquisition procedures.
