Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures authorized in FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The office of NOAA National Marine Fisheries, Conservation Biology Division located in Seattle, WA intends to acquire the following VEMCO Brand supplies: 1.) quantity of 100 each V16T-4x pingers- must be 16mm diameter 69kHz with built in temperature sensors. Temperature sensors must operate within the range of 0-40°C. Pingers must be active for exactly 120 days from activation and transmit around a random delay of 15 to 45 seconds. 2.) quantity of 100 dummy tags- must be 16mm and of the exact size, weight, shape, and material casing as the VEMCO V16-4x active acoustic pingers. 3.) quantity of 2 each VR2W 69kHz coded acoustic receivers- must be coded 69kHz acoustic receivers with Bluetooth Code Map-112, and a lithium metal Tadiran 5930/F battery. 4.) quantity of 5 each VR2W 180kHz coded acoustic receivers- must be 180kHz acoustic receivers with Bluetooth Code Map-411, and a lithium metal Tadiran 5930/F battery. 5.) quantity of 50 each V6-4x 180kHz pingers- must be 6mm diameter 180kHz acoustic pingers. Pingers must be active for exactly 140 days from activation and transmit around a random delay of 15 to 45 seconds. It is critical that the active transmitters and receivers be engineered with VEMCO coding techniques to allow interoperability with the VEMCO receivers that are currently in place within the study area. These instruments must be FOB destination Seattle, WA 98115 for delivery no later than Aug 01, 2011. Only firms that can provide the exact VEMCO equipment described herein will be considered. All interested parties must respond to this announcement within fifteen (15) calendar days of its publication.
