- Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) is conducting a market survey to determine the availability and technical capability of qualified small businesses, including 8(a) small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, woman-owned small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or HUBZone small businesses capable of providing a one year Service Maintenance Agreement for the following instrument: FEIs Tecnai20 200 KV TEM Electron Microscope Services to include but not limited to: schedules maintenance, unscheduled maintenance, telephone support and replacement parts and components to manufacturers specifications. Vendor shall be able to provide/perform the actual services needed under this service agreement. The Tecnai20 is a highly specialized and technical instrument. Therefore the service/maintenance must be performed by an authorized specially/engineered trained personnel to maintain the Tecnai20. Interested firms with the capability of providing the required service are requested to submit a capability statement to assist the Government in determining in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 19.502-2(b) whether or not this procurement will be set-aside for any of the programs described above. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code 811219 with a size standard of $19m. All respondents are requested to identify their firms size and type of business. Interested firms responding to this market survey must provide (a) capability statement demonstrating their experience, skills and capability to fulfill the Governments requirements for the above. The capability statement shall be in sufficient enough detail, but not to exceed ten pages, so that the Government can determine the experience and capability of your firm to provide the requirements above. Your capability statement should include three references. Two (2) copies of the capability statement must be received at the address identified in this synopsis prior to 12:00 p.m./noon local time at designated location on February 10, 2011. Responses by fax or e-mail WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for information solicited.
