Description
AWARD NOTICE: Award was made on January 28, 2011 for A/E Services, Project 693-09-128, for design to replace/repair existing 300,000 gallon elevated water tank at the Wilkes Barre VA Medical Center. Five (5) SF330s were received in response to initial announcement. Award in the amount of $288,409.00 was made to DCS Infrastructure LLC, 33 Grant Street, Mt. Holly, NJ 08060 ORIGINAL SYNOPSIS: (POSTED JUNE 23, 2009) VA-244-09-RP-0294 The VA Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre, is seeking sources to provide A/E Services to include site investigation, design development, drawings and specifications, cost estimates, construction period services and site visits. Work under Project 693-09-128 will include, but is not limited to, replacement of the existing 300,000 gallon elevated water tank at the Wilkes-Barre VAMC. The intent of the project is to evaluate the existing elevated water tank and provide design solutions to replace/repair the elevated tank using sustainable design principles, installing water lines to connect the new tank to the existing water distribution system, and incidental related work. Services required are for site investigation, design development, preliminary drawings, construction drawings, specifications, cost estimates and construction period services. All designs/repairs must, at a minimum, be in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and local codes as well as the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) publications (Master Construction Specifications, Space Criteria, Construction Standards, etc.). Work for this project may involve environmental considerations, such as lead paint and/or asbestos removal, which shall be addressed within the design and included within the construction bid package. The above scope is intended to describe the project in general and is not limited to the aforementioned. All work shown on the drawings and described in the specifications shall form the complete project. The estimated construction budget is $1,000,000 - $5,000,000. This procurement is 100% set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. Firms must be registered in both the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database (www.ccr.gov) and the VETBiz Information Pages (www.vetbiz.gov) prior to award. Failure to do so may result in your firm being removed from further consideration. The geographic scope for this acquisition is restricted to firms within 150 driving miles of the VA Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre. Interested firms must submit two (2) copies of SF330 with appropriate documentation to Karen Whalen, Contracting Officer (693/049E), VAMC, 1111 East End blvd, Wilkes Barre PA 18711 by the close of business Monday, July 20, 2009. NAICS Code 541330 applies. This is not a request for proposals. Award is subject to availability of funds.
