- Description: SHAFT ASSEMBLY, INTERCONNECTING Northrop Grumman (76823) P/N 3-50922-5 drawing: 3-50922 Rev "C" dated 03/09/1967 Drawing exceptions: 1. The following Specifications/standards, etc, will be used in lieu of the data indicated. The superseded data will not be furnished unless so indicated. 2. Marking per MIL-STD-130 in lieu of IM-8. 3. Surface roughness per ASME B46.1 in lieu of MIL-STD-10. This is a Critical Application Item with configuration control. Export Control applies. Item cited requires data which is restricted to contractors certified by DoD to access unclassified data per DoD 5220.22M. Certification is obtained by submitting DD Form 2345, Militarily Critical Technical Data Agreement, to the Defense Logistics Information Services. The NSN is 1560-00-989-6805, PRs 0024332406, 0026022160, 0027948418, 0028429202. This solicitation is for a firm fixed price contract. The total quantity required is 243 units. FOB is Origin with inspection and acceptance at origin. Required delivery of the units is 400 days. The quantity is plus/minus zero. Solicitation will be issued as unrestricted on the basis of other than full and open competition in accordance with FAR Part 12 procedures. CURRENTLY THERE ARE TWO APPROVED SOURCES: NORTHROP GRUMMAN (9JRC1) P/N 3-50922-5 AND GOODRICH CORPORATION (99551) P/N 19E83-2ACL53. Northrop Grumman licensing agreement applies. The process specifications required to manufacture this item is proprietary to Northrop Grumman. The right of the Government to use the required data to purchase this part from additional sources has been established under the "Northrop Grumman License Agreement", to provide DoD procuring agencies the use of data for competitive reprocurement of replenishment of spares. Northrop Grumman Form #14 is located in the "C" folders under Licensing Agreements. This is required to be signed and returned to DSCR-TDMD Customer Service prior to contract award. THESE SOURCES ARE KNOWN TO HAVE THE REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CAPABILITY. FAILURE OF THIS ITEM COULD RESULT IN LOSS OF AIRCRAFT AND CREW PERSONNEL. THEREFORE, NEW SOURCES MUST BE APPROVED BY THE COGNIZANT SYSTEM ENGINEER PRIOR TO CONTRACT AWARD. A technical data package is available and may be obtained for use in developing a source approval request (SAR) for engineering source approval. THE CRITICAL NATURE OF THE PART REQUIRES A FIRST ARTICLE FROM A CONTRACTOR WHO HAS NEVER PRODUCED THE ITEM OR HAS NOT PRODUCED THE ITEM FOR A EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME. 2. A VENDOR WILL NORMALLY BE ALLOWED ONLY ONE ATTEMPT TO RECEIVE FULL OR CONDITIONAL APROVAL. FAILURE TO RECEIVE APPROVAL OF FIRST ARTICLE INSPECTION WILL, AT THE DISCRETION OF THE GOVERNMENT, RESULT IN TERMINATION OF THE CONTRACT. IT MAY ALSO RESULT IN SUBSEQUENT REMOVAL OF THE VENOR AS AN APPROVED SOURCE (IF THE ITEM IS CODED AMSC "C"). This solicitation is subject to the World Organization Government Procurement Agreement and Free Trade Agreements. The final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation.
