- Description
- On or about 17 February 2011, this office will issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a wide range of design-build and construction services at sites in Colorado and Wyoming to include buildings, structures, and/or site work. This will be a Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) with up to three (3) Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business awards with a shared capacity of $14,900,000. The minimum guarantee amount for the base period is $5,000. Work completed under this contract lies within NAICS Code 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The small business size standard for this NAICS Code is $33.5M. The solicitation will close on or about 22 March 2011. Performance and payment bonds will be required on a task order basis. This solicitation is RESTRICTED TO SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESS PARTICIPATION. As part of this solicitation, Task Order No. 0001 will be awarded to the Offeror deemed to be the best value. Task Order No. 0001 is KETTLE CREEK DRY DAM REPAIRS at Air Force Academy (AFA), CO. Site visit information is TBD. Provisions in the solicitation documents will provide detailed information (meeting place, time, points of contact, and access requirements). _______________________________________________________________________________ Task Order No. 0001 Description: Task Order No. 0001 is the design and construction of a series of repairs to the outlet works of the Kettle Creek Dry Dam outlet facilities at Air Force Academy (AFA), CO. The repairs primarily address damage due to (water) erosion to the outlet works which were constructed roughly 50 years ago. Repairs include: removal and replacement of the trash rack, repairs to the eroded pipe invert and offset joints, repairs to baffle chute blocks, other miscellaneous concrete repairs, etc. Work will extend over five (5) separate reaches of the flood protection basin. The estimated construction cost of Task Order No. 0001 is between $1,000,000 and $2,500,000. _______________________________________________________________________________ For Task Order No. 0001, the Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 180 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bonding documents including the power of attorney shall bear an original signature by an officer of the surety.
