- GSA TRANSIT BUS PRE-SOLICITATION CONFERENCE February 23-24, 2011, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm GSA Federal Acquisition Service 2200 Crystal Dr, Lobby Level Arlington, VA 22202 Please pre-register via email response to craig.yokum@gsa.gov, with header line: TRANSIT BUS PRE-SOLICITATION CONFERENCE REGISTRATION, and the contact information for each attendee (Name, Title, Company, Email Address, and Telephone Number). The Government has a requirement for the following: (1) BUS-TRANSIT-HEAVY DUTY-LOW FLOOR-40 FT.-39 PASSENGER -DIESEL This specification defines requirements for heavy duty, 40 foot-long, minimum 39 passenger, low floor diesel bus. The bus shall be low floor design, be a maximum of 102 inches wide, have a left-hand operator location, and be fully ADA compliant. (2) BUS-TRANSIT-HEAVY DUTY-LOW FLOOR-40 FT.-39 PASSENGER -CNG This specification defines requirements for heavy duty, 40 foot-long, minimum 39 passenger, low floor CNG buses. The bus shall be low floor design, be a maximum of 102 inches wide, have a left-hand operator location, and be fully ADA compliant. (3) BUS-TRANSIT-HEAVY DUTY-LOW FLOOR-40 FT.-39 PASSENGER -DIESEL ELECTRIC HYBRID This specification defines requirements for heavy duty, 40 foot-long, minimum 39 passenger, low floor diesel electric hybrid bus. The bus shall be low floor design, be a maximum of 102 inches wide, have a left-hand operator location, and be fully ADA compliant. In addition, these buses shall have a minimum expected life of 12 years/500,000 miles and be intended for the widest possible spectrum of passengers, including children, adults, the elderly, and persons with disabilities. These buses shall meet other design goals, including long cycle life, low life-cycle cost, safety, maintainability, durability, and robust diagnostics. These Standards do not include all varieties of the commodities indicated by the titles but are intended to cover those vehicles generally acquired by the Government. Buses with standardized components and equipment are highlighted in these Standards. A selection of coded optional additional systems and equipment are included for agencies, divergent geographic and operational related needs. FEDERAL PURCHASE DESCRIPTIONS should be amended to this notice within the next few days. The primary purpose of this pre-solicitation meeting is to explain the government's needs and expectations and the ensuing procurement activities. The government is neither seeking or requesting proposals for this meeting.
