Description

Pre-Solicitation Announcement The Veterans Administration is seeking to award a single contract for Lead-Based Paint Surveys at the Marion Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC) located at 2401 West Main Street, Marion, IL 62959-1188 at various buildings throughout the VAMC campus. The Contractor shall be responsible for certified consultant services for lead-based paint (LBP) surveying, including report to the VA Medical Center, Marion, IL that fall within the scope of the work in the solicitation. The Contractor shall conduct sampling and evaluation of areas in accordance with the requirements of EPA and OSHA regulations that fall within the scope of work in the solicitation. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, tools, equipments and supervision necessary to perform an inspection and assessment for independent LBP bulk surveys of all buildings identified in accordance to the scope of work of the solicitation. The Contractor shall plan, schedule, coordinate, and ensure effective and economical completion of all work and services specified in this contract. The majority of work will be accomplished during normal working hours. Normal working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday thru Friday. All samples shall be analyzed by a laboratory accredited to perform analysis of bulk LBP by an American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA). The contract will be completed within ninety days (90) after contract award. There will be only one pre-award site visit scheduled for this project held at Marion VAMC. Contractor will meet for the site visit at 9:00 A.M. CST Thursday, February 24, 2011. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 541620. The Standard Industrial Classification is 8748. The small business size standard is $7.0 Million. This is a 100% Service, Veteran-Owned, Small Business set aside (SDVOSB): Authority 38 USA 8127 (d) SDVOSB awardee and subcontracting must be registered and listed in VIP (http://vetbiz.gov). VAAR 804.1102 SDVOSB Certification is applicable to this award.
